*Tai Chi is offered Thursday mornings with instructor Joe Harrigan. This program is designed for those 50+ of all experience levels; chairs and wall space will be available support. Participants are asked to wear appropriate sneakers, and bring a towel and plenty of water.
*Yoga for Seniors will introduce the details of the yoga postures and explore alignment, flexibility and strength. Deep breathing and relaxation techniques will be incorporated to aid in reaping the relaxing and rejuvenating benefits of yoga. Classes open to all ability levels. Please bring a yoga mat and small blanket. There will be a few mats available to borrow.
*Yoga with Weights is the newest form of yoga. Combining the grace of yoga with the mindfulness of body-building adds a whole new dimension to the mind-body connection. It's a balance of strength, flexibility, breath, and alignment, just like a traditional yoga practice.
Yoga Instructor Bio: Amanda Kezal, owner of Holistic Pathways in Gorham, has been teaching yoga for over 20 years to all age and ability levels. She is trained and certified in a variety of yoga styles. Amanda believes yoga is meant to be fun and practiced without having to turn yourself into a pretzel.
*Beginner Pickleball- Come try the popular sport of Pickleball: a paddle sport for all ages. This is a drop-in style program where you can come try the sport or play a full game! Instruction is available every Tuesday. No experience necessary!
*Saco Bay Artists- Come and enjoy a time to paint with some of the members of The Saco Bay Artists, an art organization that has been active for over 20 years. We will have open painting sessions on Mondays from 10AM-3PM. Bring your own art supplies and a project to work on. There will be no formal instruction but people are available to offer suggestions and/or help.
*Tai Chi Chih is a rejuvenating practice of moving meditation. This new class is easy to learn and brings benefits to many including, peace of mind, improved health, and joy. This class will be taught by certified Tai Chi Chih instructor, Sara Leonard.
