Yoga with Weights introduces the details of yoga postures with a focus on building strength using light weights. Deep breathing and relaxation techniques are incorporated to aid in reaping the calming and rejuvenating benefits of yoga. Classes are open to all ability levels. Please bring a yoga mat, weights you feel comfortable using, a small blanket and wear flexible, comfortable clothing. There are a few mats and weights available to borrow.
Yoga Instructor Bio: Amanda Kezal, owner of Holistic Pathways in Gorham, has been teaching yoga for over 20 years to all age and ability levels. She is trained and certified in a variety of yoga styles. Amanda believes yoga is meant to be fun and practiced without having to turn yourself into a pretzel.
Drop-In Program Info
At Saco Parks and Rec, we offer a range of drop-in style exercise classes for participants of all abilities. No pre-registration is required and you do not have to be a member of the Seniority Program. Members enjoy a $1.00 discount on each class. Each program is offered throughout the year with no start/end dates. Please feel free to drop-in when you can. Cash or check payment is due at the time of the class. All classes are held in the Program Bay off the gym at the Community Center on Franklin Street. Please visit each class's page for more detailed information and rates.
