Update: The Saco Parks and Recreation Department has made the decision to cancel the Full Moon Frostival Event scheduled for Saturday, February 27th due to the inclement weather forecast.
Embrace what winter has to offer and join us under the full moon for a family night out at the Saco Recreation Complex with our first annual Full Moon Frostival! Specific activities will be weather dependent and we have plans in place for this event whether there is snow or if snow is a no-show! The event will include: ice skating, a scavenger hunt on the wooded trails, fire pits, s'mores, hot chocolate, and more! Snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing will be added if we have sufficient snow. Pizza by the slice, water, and sports drinks will be available for purchase.
Equipment info: If you plan to skate or sled, please bring your own equipment. We will have a select number of snowshoes to borrow! Some outdoor lighting options will be added but we recommend bringing headlamps and flashlights as well!
This event is free but pre-registration is required, and space is limited! We hope to see you there!
