Pilates is a relaxing meditative exercise that stretches, strengthens and tones without strain improving body alignment and ease of movement. Pilates can be practiced at chair or mat level. Classes are open to all ability levels. Please bring a mat and wear flexible, comfortable clothing. There are a few mats available to borrow.Katy Hersey, an occupational therapist, has been practicing for 17 years and has seen the benefits of Pilates for all ages and ability levels. Katy is trained in Method Pilates and has taken additional course work for more complex population using the APPI method also known as Modified Pilates.

T'ai Chi Chih is a practice of moving meditation. Each session is a series of 19 movements and 1 pose centered on circulating, developing and balancing the chi. The practice is easy to learn and brings benefits to many including peace of mind, improved health, and joy. Classes are open to all ability levels. No special equipment is needed.  Please wear flexible, comfortable clothing. The class is a powerful but gently executed practice of only 20 movements with no T'ai Chi martial arts/fight components.  The class can be done seated or standing, with the potential for varied benefits to health, well-being and joy of life!  Join us for this unique approach to stress management, meditation, and movement.This class is taught by certified T'ai Chi Chih instructor, Sara Leonard..."Hi, my name is Sara Leonard.  I live in Falmouth, and am a mom, wife, accredited T'ai Chi Chih (TCC) Instructor, Certified Reflexologist, organic gardener, voracious reader, music lover, part-time jewelry maker, an aspiring guitar player, and Italian language learner.  I am passionate about teaching TCC and bringing this deeply powerful, gently practiced form of Moving Meditation to everyone I possibly can.  Its benefits are varied, numerous, and accessible, it can be done almost anywhere by young and old, seated or standing, with nothing more required than intent, comfortable clothes, patience, and a sense of humor.  Come join us."

Program Description: In this 6-week nutrition and cooking class, you will learn how to plan and prepare low-cost, nutritious and delicious meals and snacks! At each lesson, we will prepare delicious recipes together and you will get to take home ingredients to make the recipes again. Participants will receive a some cooking resources, such as handouts and magazines throughout the session. Goal: To provide participants the knowledge and skills to make healthy food choices, as well as to prepare healthy meals and snacks on a limited budget.Highlights: Lessons feature hands-on learning and include group discussions Tasty food samples are prepared by the chef and participantsFMI: www.mainesnap-ed.org

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Cooking Matters: Family Edition with Maine SNAP-ed - Cooking Matters Participant Registration
Program Description: In this 6-week nutrition and cooking class, you will learn how to plan and prepare low-cost, nutritious and delicious meals and snacks! At each lesson, we will prepare delicious recipes together and you will get to take home ingredients to make the recipes again. Participants will receive a some cooking resources, such as handouts and magazines throughout the session. Goal: To provide participants the knowledge and skills to make healthy food choices, as well as to prepare healthy meals and snacks on a limited budget.Highlights: Lessons feature hands-on learning and include group discussions Tasty food samples are prepared by the chef and participantsFMI: www.mainesnap-ed.org

Pilates is a relaxing meditative exercise that stretches, strengthens and tones without strain improving body alignment and ease of movement. Pilates can be practiced at chair or mat level. Classes are open to all ability levels. Please bring a mat and wear flexible, comfortable clothing. There are a few mats available to borrow.Katy Hersey, an occupational therapist, has been practicing for 17 years and has seen the benefits of Pilates for all ages and ability levels. Katy is trained in Method Pilates and has taken additional course work for more complex population using the APPI method also known as Modified Pilates.

Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits such as stress management, coordination, balance, and relaxation. This program is designed for those 50+ of all experience levels; chairs and wall space will be available support. Please wear comfortable sneakers, flexible clothing, and bring a towel.This class is taught by certified Tai Chi instructor, Joe Harrigan.

They have extensive knowledge in the sport, have been coaching for SPR for nearly ten years, and know how to make it fun!Players will also receive a reversible basketball jersey!  Limited seats - SIGN UP TODAY!

T'ai Chi Chih is a practice of moving meditation. Each session is a series of 19 movements and 1 pose centered on circulating, developing and balancing the chi. The practice is easy to learn and brings benefits to many including peace of mind, improved health, and joy. Classes are open to all ability levels.
